London, Nov 28 : Arsenal suffered a huge blow to their hopes of winning silverware this season after Robin van Persie was ruled out for up to five months because of injury.

The Holland striker injured his ankle on international duty November 14 and had initially expected to be out for only six weeks.

But after another scan on the injury, Arsenal said Saturday that the injury will require an operation.

"Robin Van Persie returned to Arsenal on November 22nd following an ankle injury sustained whilst on international duty with Holland," Arsenal said in a statement.

Joining the 31-year-old footballer was his English wife of four years Ana, who was wearing the popular WAG footwear favourite, a pair of chocolate coloured Mukluk boots.

The controversial Canadian boots are made from rabbit fur and sheepskin and sell for £295.00 a pair.

Her husband looked equally flamboyant in a red, blue and white quilted jacket and jeans.

Spotted near their home in Abbots Langley, Herts, the couple took their puppy out for a walk while popping out for a few groceries.

Refreshingly in contrast to other pampered footballers and their WAGS, the couple were walking to the nearby shops, while Ana was wheeling a shopping trolley to carry their purchases back home.

Meanwhile, the couple hit the headlines recently when Pamplona-born Manuel admitted their country house was haunted.
